This celebration of Independence Day comes one day early by tradition and is not to be missed. This event captivates with a thrilling firework display over Lake Henderson. There will be live music, entertainment and food vendors. No coolers, umbrellas, tents, canopies or personal fireworks.
Inverness Patriotism Set to Shine
INVERNESS, Florida – June 28, 2017 – Inverness’ Patriotic Evening invites families to enjoy an evening of patriotism, fireworks and community at Liberty and Wallace Brooks parks overlooking Lake Henderson on July 3, 2017.
City Manager Frank DiGiovanni explains, “This event originally began with the Inverness Business Leaders. It was their leadership that laid the foundation of success, and made this all about our community, patriotism and giving back.”

This year, organizers will open the ceremony at 6:30 p.m. with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office Color Guard and city officials. The evening’s headliner, Come Back Alice is set to start at 7 p.m. and the band touts their sound as “a blend of rock, soul, gypsy jazz and funk music.”
